Does a blog help your website?
I have had many ask me: “A blog is a lot of work. Does it really help my website? Even if nobody reads it?”
I recently received proof that a blog does help…
At the beginning of 2008, Google would index my website about once every 2 weeks. I began blogging 3 or 4 times a month, and by August Google was indexing my website every two or three days!
That was great, because if I added a new page, it would be indexed in just a couple of days and then appear on Google!
But in September I became so busy with our new SEO software that we released, that I didn’t blog in September. (http://www.website-seo-master.com/) I didn’t post a blog in October. I didn’t even post a blog in November!
By the end of November, Google was back down to indexing my site about once a month! How crushing is that!!!
In December I began to post on my blog. And now in February I am indexed weekly and it is working it’s way back up to where I was in August of last year!
“How can I get the same benefits?” you ask. Well, tomorrow I will list some hints to do to your blog to get some results!
